How to save 4-hours/week 🙌 [Part 1 of 2]

Spring 2017, I was working in the luxury automotive sector.

A colleague and I started chatting about how his mate (an ex AFL pro) got ripped by limiting his carbs to less than 100g/day.

Summer was coming up, so we thought we’d give it a go, and committed to a 3-month challenge.

The first step, was completing a food diary to calculate exactly how many carbs we were consuming.

My behaviour changed instantly.

Simply being aware of my ‘carb-count’ meant I began adjusting my portions and food groups.

Getting control of your calendar follows exactly the same process.

You first get clarity on what you’re choosing to do with your time.

There are 2 ways to do this.

  1. Super quick time study (easy but less accurate)

  2. Daily time log (bigger commitment, but more revealing)

Whichever method you choose, I guarantee you’ll find time savings.

Simply seeing a visual representation of your decision making will immediately reveal the work you shouldn't be doing, whilst also highlighting what you should be prioritising instead.

In my next blog I’ll show you how to design your ideal week.

A week that ensures you have time for working ON your business, time for your own health and wellbeing, and time to get the critical day-to-day tasks done too.

PPS. In case you're wondering, yes, the diet did work ;)
