No, a long weekend doesn’t count, but the kind of break you’d take if you worked for someone else. 🤓

If it’s been a while, then you’re probably afraid of what might happen if you’re not there to keep an eye on your employees.

After all, no one does things as well as you - they just don’t have the experience, and they certainly don’t seem to give as much of a damn!

That was my client Marty, 6-weeks ago as he nervously looked ahead to a 3-week trip to Nepal away from his computer and out of cell-phone reception.

Well, 2-weeks in and whilst he is being missed in certain areas things are actually running better without him.

Here’s what we did before he left:

✅Built a plan
✅Primed key staff
✅Wrote a directory
✅Checked subs availability
✅Listed frequently asked questions

All of that has meant the day-to-day operations haven’t skipped a beat.

Plus…

➕The yard’s been given a makeover
➕Marty’s desktop has been organised
➕Staff bought coffees and surveyed

There more work to do, but the message couldn’t be clearer.
