Sick of sitting through hours and hours of 1:1 interviews, only to end up with the wrong employee? 😓
Here’s a better way to interview:
1. Invite your shortlist to a group interview (up to 10 people/group)
2. Begin the interview by sharing your companies journey, vision and values
3. Have a current employee share their experiences of working for the company
4. Ask 3-4 character questions
5. Break for snacks and refreshments
6. Ask 3-4 situational questions
7. Invite questions from the candidates
8. Inform the group of the next steps
9. Select 2-3 candidates to take to 1:1 interviews
In less than 2-hours you will have interviewed a large number of candidates, and learned much more about them than you would in a 1:1 setting - greatly reducing the chances of making a bad hire.
And the best part is that if you’re not 100% confident your dream candidate is in the group, then simply go back to ‘Step 1’.
