How Do You Start Your Week?

Not a terrible view. 🤓

I’m in the process of building a planning discipline over the weekend - where I carve out a bit of time to do some planning for the week ahead. Ideally this would be the last part of my workday on Friday, but close enough is good enough for now!

Gotta say, it ain’t easy. I’ve left my kids watching Barbie, and frankly there’s a part of me that’d rather be bingeing classic UFC fights. 🥊

But here’s what’s been working for me:

1️⃣ Brain dump – get everything out of my head and onto paper.
2️⃣ Divide it into TASKS vs PROJECTS.
3️⃣ Prioritise based on IMPORTANCE.
4️⃣ Review and update my calendar for the week ahead.
5️⃣ Check in on my six-week project plan.

I try to avoid actually doing the work—that’s what Monday’s for.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not preaching some productivity hack. I’ve just found business is a hell of a lot easier when I take 20–30 minutes to organise my thoughts before the week begins. 🧘‍♂️
