Celebrate WINS
As Kiwi's we're often reserved with our praise - we don't want anyone's head getting too big now, do we? π
This lack of acknowledgement, can create a belief in the team, that their hard work isn't appreciated and leads to people doing 'just enough'.
To create a high performance culture, we need to start celebrating our team and their successes, not just pointing out failures. β
The good news is, you don't need to buy everyone a Ferrari for turning up to work on time.
Take a leaf out of the coach to Silicon Valley, Bill Campbell's book.
Bill became famous for enthusiastically disrupting board meetings with "The BCC" - a series of 5-loud claps, along with a loud "Great f$cking job!". π£
