Where did you pick that up?

A snapshot of my Accumatch assessment.

A snapshot of my Accumatch assessment.

Like you, my behaviour has patterns.

Those patterns show up in every area of my life, especially business.

Some of those patterns serve me well, and others not so much.

But that question got me thinking.

See, behaviours (or patterns) are just the end result.

Our thinking is what really drives our behaviour.

But what shapes our thinking?

Nature (genetic coding) plays a role, but for the most part, it’s our environment (people, places/spaces and things).

Along the road we pick up some good stuff, but we also pick up some rubbish.

And it’s this rubbish which usually contributes to outliers like those on my Accumatch assessment.

If you’ve got a pattern you want to change then a behavioural assessment like Accumatch, Myers-Briggs, DISC etc. is a great starting point.
Once you have identified the patterns in your behaviour, here are three powerful questions to ask yourself:

  1. Where did I pick that up?

  2. How does it serve me?

  3. How would life/business be different If I addressed that?

Good luck!
