Business and Sport

Business and sport are not directly comparable but there are many parallels. 🏈

Professional athletes are fascinating to me, and I'm always looking for lessons I can apply to both my clients’ businesses and my own. 🧠

Yesterday, the world’s most famous MMA fighter Conor McGregor returned to the octagon, and the win column. After an underwhelming past 3 years, many were questioning whether this was the beginning of the end. ⏳

I watched a lot of interviews leading up to the fight, but one point stuck out to me in particular. Conor said that reading Lebron James spent $1.5M on his body per year, whilst he spent “noottin” was a major turning point in renewing his focus. ❗️

He realised that if he was to return to championship level that he must invest more in himself and his team. He added several new pieces to an already strong team, and yesterday the results spoke for themselves. 💪

In business, the difference between good and great is also a matter of the 'one-percenters'.

And it all starts with YOU. ✊

🥊 How much are you investing in yourself?
🥊 Who are your coaches?
🥊 How committed are you to success (really)?
