Obsessed with measurement
We’re obsessed with measurement.
Empirical.
Evidence.
But most of life is completely immeasurable.
Like a stressed out manager opening a coaching session by describing his workplace challenges as a ‘dark cloud’.
Then smiling an hour later, as he clearly outlines his commitments for the week ahead.
Measure that.
Leaders who purely focus on metrics will only ever build ordinary organisations.
Yes, they’ll have bodies and minds.
Profit, perhaps.
But, they‘ll fail to capture the heart and spirit of their people.
Which ultimately, is the biggest difference between good, and great.
