The BEST thing I’ve done with my calendar in the last 12-months.

I used to drive home on Mondays feeling deflated — like I was on the back foot before the week had even begun.

With back to back coaching sessions filling Tuesday-Thursday, Mondays were my prime time to get deep work done.

But, they were being choked out by things that were important, but could ultimately wait.

So a month ago I:

✅ Wrote a list of the highest value activities I was neglecting.
✅ Reviewed my calendar and identified what could be shuffled.
✅ Pushed our weekly team meeting out to 11:00am.
✅ Booked recurring events for ‘Thinking Time’ and ‘6-Week Project Sprints’
✅ Informed the team I was ‘uninterruptible’ Monday mornings.

So now my Monday morning routine is:

6:00 am - Jiu Jitsu
7:00 am - Breakfast and family time
8:00 am - School run
9:00 am - Deep work 1: Strategic/Thinking Time
9:45 am - Deep work 2: 6-Week Project Sprint
10:45 am - Prep for team meeting
11:00 am - Team meeting

I’m still tweaking this rhythm, but what I’ve noticed so far is that my energy is WAY higher and I’m feeling clearer and more optimistic.
